Lady Di, known as the People’s Princess because to her caring and compassionate character, as well as her affection for regular folk, will be remembered as the lady who transformed Britain and the monarchy.
This amazing Princess rose to notoriety following her engagement to Prince Charles, Queen Elizabeth II’s eldest son and heir to the British throne. She has been in the spotlight since the rest of the world became aware of her. The paparazzi tracked her every step and, according to others, pushed her to her death.

Unlike the rest of the British royals’ engagement rings, which are custom-made, Diana’s 12-carat sapphire ring surrounded by 14 solitaire diamonds set in white gold was bought from a Garrard jewelry collection catalog. After William proposed to Kate Middleton with the ring, it was given to her after she died.
Diana was so happy and confused on her wedding day that she referred to her future husband as Philip Charles Arthur George rather than just Charles Philip.
According to her brother Charles Spencer, Diana struggled to wear the tiara at first because it gave her headaches.
“In the evening we all went to a sort of semi-private party and she was there and I just remember she had a cracking headache also since she wasn’t used to wearing a tiara all morning,” he recalled in a telephone interview.
Diana’s wedding dress was really unique, but it caused her some problems since the makers of the 25-foot train forgot to consider how difficult it would be to walk in. When Lady Di entered the carriage, her clothing was somewhat pressed and crumpled as a result.
When asked if they were in love soon after their engagement, Charles said, “Whatever ‘in love’ means,” to Diana’s “Of course.”
Diana is given drawings of the gown, which were later cut up in case anyone wanted a glimpse.
The wedding presents Charles and Diana received were very distinctive. The Reagans, for one, gave them a handmade porcelain centerpiece and an etched Steuben glass bowl. They also received gloves made of 100-year-old silk and a clock adorned with diamonds and sapphires, among other things.
Following the wedding, it was revealed to the world that Charles and Diana shared a common ancestor, Henry VII of the Tudors. They were 16th cousins, once removed.
