Donald Trump and his family spent the Christmas season at their Mar-a-Lago home. His sons, daughters, and grandchildren were all present, but one person was absent: his wife, Melania Trump, who has only been seen in public once in months. Many people assumed that Christmas would be the next time.
Sadly, Melania Trump was not there as the family took its usual Christmas photo, prompting suspicion about what had occurred. But, during an event immediately following New Year’s Eve, Donald Trump revealed the true reason, and it’s heartbreaking.
Melania Trump has maintained a quiet profile since leaving the White House with her family. The former first lady has spent a lot of time with her and Donald Trump’s son, Barron Trump, at their Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida, but this year has unquestionably been one of the most frenetic and turbulent in a long time.
In March of last year, a New York court charged Donald Trump. More indictments have been issued against him, and other lawsuits are currently pending.
Donald Trump is facing a civil court action in New York that may jeopardize his whole commercial enterprise. He is accused of exaggerating his property values by more than $2 billion in order to acquire advantageous loans.
However, the former president denied guilt and referred to the investigation as a “sham.”
Former aide criticizes Melania Trump’s wardrobe
Melania Trump hasn’t spoken out about her husband’s alleged wrongdoings or illegal conduct, and she hasn’t been seen with him in court. She has been seen in New York multiple times, including at a gala dinner with her husband in Mar-a-Lago. Aside than that, almost little is known about Melania Trump’s activities. However, in late November, she made an appearance in public.
Rosalynn Carter, the wife of former President Jimmy Carter, died in November at the age of 96. A few weeks later, the former first lady’s memorial ceremony was held, and all of the live former first women attended. Melania Trump sat in the first row with Jill Biden, Michelle Obama, Laura Bush, and Hillary Clinton, in order of their years in the White House.
However, one aspect of Melania Trump’s attire made many claim she was “disrespectful.”
On social media, numerous accounts criticized Melania Trump for wearing a light gray coat rather than a black one.
“Turns out Melania is every bit as disrespectful and lacking in class as her husband,” one user remarked, according to Yahoo.
“She used it as a cat walk”
Meanwhile, Melania Trump’s former adviser and friend Stephanie Winston Wolkoff, who worked with the former first lady during her first few years in the White House, criticized her dress choices.
“Melania Trump knew that ‘a picture would be worth a thousand words.'” In Melania’s situation, the image would have to speak for itself. “This time is no different!” Wolkoff writes about X.
“Melania made this service a photo op for herself, instead of handling her apprarance with dignity and humility, she used it as a cat walk,” she went on to say. “Rosalynn Carter is a national treasure who lived a life of humanitarian service with generosity, dignity, and compassion for all of God’s children.” May she rest peacefully.”
However, not everyone agreed. Several individuals sprang to Melania’s defense.
“What kind of man worries about how a woman that he has never met is dressed…?” One person commented on X.
Another commented, “No, what’s nasty and lacking in class is taking what was intended to be a day of remembrance for the passing of a previous First Lady and turning it into a discussion about the color of someone’s attire. Ridiculous.”
The Trump family is going through a difficult period. The court system will judge whether he violated any laws, and only time will tell if it will affect their lives.
Melania Trump’s childhood: parents Viktor and Amalija
Melania’s primary emphasis is on assisting and supporting their son, Barron Trump, who is in his final year of high school before attending college. Looking back on her youth, she has always had the same level of support from her parents, Viktor and Amalija, and that support has continued when she became the First Lady of the United States.
However, some awful news concerning her mother has surfaced.
But first, what happened in Melania Trump’s early life? Melania (born Melania Knauss) was born on April 26, 1970, in Novo Mesto, Slovenia. She grew raised in Sevnica, a tiny railway town.
Her father, Viktor, was a car mechanic and driver, while her mother, Amalija, worked as a pattern maker at a textile factory. Amalija had a strong interest in design and spent many hours creating outfits for Melania and her older sister, Ines.
“I grew up with a beautiful family and had a wonderful childhood,” Melania Trump has stated. “My mother and father taught us the importance of education, hard work and family.”
Amalija first met Viktor in 1966, when he was driving for the mayor of a nearby town. They fell in love and were married.
While Slovenia was a part of Communist Yugoslavia, and money was a major concern for many, Amalija and Viktor led a relatively comfortable existence.
Even when Slovenia was part of Communist Yugoslavia and things were tough, Amalija was always immaculately dressed and coiffed. “She was very pretty,” Tomšič, who has administered a local hospital to which Melania gave $25,000 after marrying Donald Trump, told GQ in 2016. “She was always very fancy.”
Melania Trump’s modeling career
When Amalija became a mother, she embroidered clothes for herself and her two children, Ines and Melania, which inspired the future First Lady. Melania created her own patterns while growing up, and Amalija stitched them.
Viktor and Amalija took Melania and Ines on trips to France, Italy, and Germany.
Meanwhile, Melania’s parents continue to own the same house in Sevnica, which they visit many times a year.
Melania went on to study industrial design and photography at a certain high school, but her life changed when she was 16 years old. And that was totally coincidental.
While exiting a fashion event at the Festival Hall, fashion photographer Stane Jerko found Melania leaning against a fence.
Then, in 1987, photographers didn’t really have the option to locate fresh faces for their work via the internet. Instead, it was occasionally done by chance meeting someone in person.
“I saw this girl on the staircase at the entrance,” Jerko recounted. “She was tall and thin, with long hair. I informed her who I was, what I did, and why I was photographing her.
Melania’s ambition at the time was to study architecture. At the same time, this was a tremendous opportunity. Meanwhile, Jerko believed the girl possessed something extraordinary.
Moved to New York.
Melania ended up studying at the University of Ljubljana. After only a year, she chose to follow her ambition of being a model. She hired a photographer to create a portfolio for her.
A year later, at the age of 18, she signed with a Milan-based modeling agency. She worked as a model in Milan and Paris for a few years and did exceptionally well.
Melania was looking to further her career at this moment. She met rich Italian businessman Paolo Zampolli, who provided her with a modeling contract and a work visa that allowed her to come to the United States.
Melania Trump moved to New York City in 1996. She resided in a shared apartment near Gramercy Park, but because she was 26 years old – far older than the usual aspiring model at the time – she gambled and risked everything.
Melania stated that she was “determined,” but she felt compelled to go above and above in the age of supermodels like Kate Moss and Cindy Crawford. Melania opted to appear naked in the French men’s magazine Max. Ultimately, being 26 years “old” proved advantageous for her.
Melania’s visage was soon all over Times Square in an advertisement for a cigarette manufacturer, thanks to a restriction that barred younger models from promoting tobacco products.
Thankful for her parents.
Melania Trump pushed herself through Zampolli, bringing her and other models to parties attended by photographers and producers, among other things.
Paolo Zampolli brought a close friend to one of these gatherings held at the Kit Kat Club during New York Fashion Week in 1998. a businessman called Donald Trump. The rest is history, which altered Melania and her parents’ life forever.
As Donald Trump became President of the United States and Melania First Lady, Amalija and Viktor were spotted multiple times at the White House, including at their daughter’s RNC speech in the Rose Garden.
Melania expressed gratitude to her parents for their sacrifice throughout her remarks.
“My parents worked very hard to ensure our family could not only live and prosper in America but also contribute to a nation that allows for people to arrive with a dream and make it a reality,” she went on to say. “I’d want to take a minute to thank my mother and father for everything they’ve done for our family. Because of you, I am standing here today.”
Meanwhile, Viktor and Amalija are enjoying their new role as grandparents. According to Politico, Barron Trump spends a lot of time with his grandmother and grandfather and speaks Slovenian. According to Politico, they are “hyper-involved” in his life, and in 2017, the news site predicted that Viktor and Amalija would “become more familiar figures around the White House.”
The New York Times reports that Melania’s parents “split their time among an apartment in Trump Tower, Mr. Trump’s Mar-a-Lago club in Florida, and the suite in the White House once used by Mrs. Obama’s mother.”
Sad news concerning Melania Trump’s mother, Amalija.
While Viktor and Amalija have been incredibly supportive, compassionate, and present in Melania and Barron’s life, tragic news has emerged.
Melania Trump was not there for the Christmas picture shoot at Mar-a-Lago, which would have been only her second public appearance in several months. Questions regarding what had transpired were raised, but no one knew what was going on. However, Donald Trump explained the reason for his wife’s absence at his New Year’s Eve party at Mar-a-Lago.
Unfortunately, Amalija is “very ill,” and Melania is doing everything she can to care for her mother.
“Melania—great First Lady, so popular, people adore her—is currently in the hospital with her mother. Her mother, Amalija, is quite unwell, but maybe she will recover,” Trump stated.
“But she’s been very ill, so I just wanted to say ‘hello’ to the First Lady—we just spoke, down in Miami, great hospital—and hopefully they’ll be fine, but it’s a tough one, a very tough one.” She knows approximately 95 percent of the folks in this room. We just want to wish Amalija a speedy recovery.”
Sadly, late Tuesday, Trump announced that Amalija had died at the age of 78.
Melania Trump posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, that Amalija Knavs was a strong lady who handled herself with elegance, kindness, and respect. She was completely dedicated to her husband, children, grandson, and son-in-law. We shall miss her greatly and continue to recognize and appreciate her legacy.”
Melania is in our thoughts and prayers following the tragic passing of her mother. Please share this post on Facebook to honour Amalija.
