The day’s hero dives into a freezing lake to save a drowning duck

This kind Norwegian guy has received praise for saving a duck from drowning in a frozen lake in his community.

The 36-year-old Lars Jrun Langien became known online as “King of Ducks” when pictures of him saving the helpless bird went viral.

It might not seem like a smart idea to jump into a frigid lake, yet Lars seems to do it frequently. The Norwegian Institute of Public Health researcher Lars and his 33-year-old coworker Yngvil Sholt love swimming so much that they go swimming even when the weather is below zero.

This time, however, in addition to swimming, Lars also saved the life of a duck.

The two guys saw a duck walking on the thin ice just as they were ready to jump into the lake while wearing their bikinis. When the unlucky creature was engulfed in ice, they were admiring it.

Lars immediately saw the duck was in severe difficulty and jumped in to assist it.

Yngvil was in awe of the amazing rescue from the coast and couldn’t believe what he was seeing. He even recorded the occasion on camera.
