In a wonderful act of kindness, Shaq O’Neal gives a family of 11 a brand-new car and truck.

Shaquille O’Neal has had a good life, no question about it. In addition to making a lot of money when he was in the NBA, the basketball player has made smart business choices and investments.

Today, he is still getting what he has worked for.

Shaq, 49, is one of the richest players in the world. He spends a lot of money on himself and his family, but he also makes sure to help other people. In fact, he is known for being kind, and his good deeds have gone viral many times.

Shaq told himself that every time he left the house, he would do at least one good thing. It looks like he has been keeping this promise.

Shaq’s most recent act of kindness was to help a family of 11 in Texas who are known on Instagram as “The Collins Kids.”

In an Instagram post on February 23, the mother of the family, Karissa, talked about how Shaq had helped them.

Last month, the athlete shocked the family with a visit and took them to Babe’s Chicken for dinner.

“It was so much fun to just hang out and eat dinner with him,” 36-year-old Karissa wrote on Instagram and Facebook.

But Shaq didn’t want it to end with a simple dinner. The next day, he took the family to a Mercedes-Benz store and bought them a brand-new 15-person van.

“He didn’t even know we were getting too big for our 12-passenger van, and the air conditioning wasn’t always the best, so this is such an amazing blessing,” said Karissa, who is expecting another child. “They didn’t have any in stock, so we had to order and customize one. It should arrive in July.”

Facebook Karissa’s husband, Mandrae Collins, is a manager at a Mercedes-Benz store in Fort Worth. He used to play for the Harlem Globetrotters.

After that, Shaq took them to dinner at the Rainforest Café, where he paid for another table’s whole food because he didn’t know they were missionaries from out of state.

When the basketball star found out that their waitress’s car had broken down that day, he gave her a huge $1,000 tip.

Mandrae, who was 38 years old, owned a truck that had been going for a while without air conditioning or heat. Shaq didn’t know about this, but when he saw the car, he took the family to a Ford store and got the dad a new truck!

Shaq gave his family more than just food and expensive gifts. He also gave them things that couldn’t be bought.

“He also spent time encouraging us, loving on our children, and speaking life into our family,” Karissa said. “I have no idea what to say.”

When a Facebook fan asked writer and Rooted in Christ Boutique owner Karissa how she knew Shaq, she said it was through Instagram.

In a post from January 12, Karissa told the story of how Shaq met them.

“A few months ago, he reached out to me on Instagram and sent my kids a video about how much he loved watching them and how they could call him Uncle Shaq,” she wrote.

Shaq said he would like to come see them sometime, and Karissa said that was fine.

“Of course, we’d love to hang out with him and get to know him. “I watched him play baseball when I was a kid, and my kids love seeing him in all of his commercials and movies,” she said.

Shaq was in town on Karissa’s birthday, so he stopped by to wish her a happy day. She used the word “surreal” to describe the once-in-a-lifetime event.

“He came in and played “Watch Your Mouth” with the kids. He loved on them, encouraged them, entertained them, took pictures with them, gave them gifts, encouraged us as parents, and just showed us so much love,” Karissa said.

Karissa said that her two young kids, Anthym and Anchor, are wary of strangers. But they liked Shaq right away, and they asked him to hold them.

Shaq’s efforts to help his community are really inspiring, and we should all try to do the same in our own small ways.
